Black Sheep Studios Branding BBH 2022

London agency BBH is expanding its award-winning Black Sheep Studios into a full-service production company, enabling it to build its own client roster independently of its parent agency.

With the expansion of Black Sheep Studios into a full-service production, it was time for a whole rebranding of the platform. My role for this project was to create the visual identity and branding for it. Guiding the team into a fun but structured identity and reporting directly to the Head of Design. We created this fun and colourful world of shapes where each department from Black Sheep Studios (Music, Design and Content) has its visual space but they also merge to complement each other.

It all begins with a visual idea made by blocks and shapes. These shapes symbolise the simplicity of an empty canvas. Using unrelated shapes that represent each department, we sought to unify them by creating a design system that adapted and flexed according to the focus. Combined with other shapes to create this fun brand world. Through movement and colour, the letters interact with each other symbolising the parallel work between departments.
